Karen Leu is Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer & Corporate Secretary for New Avon LLC and is responsible for leading all legal functions for North America, as well as overseeing the company’s ethics & compliance program, government affairs, and risk & claims management.
Previously, she served as General Counsel for Avon North America from 2015 and, prior to that, served as VP & Corporate Secretary and Assistant General Counsel, providing legal counsel on matters of corporate governance, securities regulation, public company disclosure and compliance, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, and executive compensation and benefits since 2005.
Prior to joining Avon, Karen was assistant general counsel at Tyco International, supporting its new management team and board of directors. Earlier in her career, she was also an associate in the corporate department at law firm Latham & Watkins in New York.Karen received her J.D. from New York University School of Law, and Bachelor of Science in International Economics from Georgetown University. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey.
